Portland Wrestling Poster - August 15, 1991 - Oregon City Civic Center - 6 Man Tag Team Brawl In "Steel" Cage

Not sure why we are putting quotes around "STEEL" for the steel cage.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't made of licorice!

See below for the poster for the program and photos from this event.

Uncle Milt's Pizza Menu & Event Schedule April 1992

In 1991, Portland Wrestling formed a partnership with Uncle Milt's Pizza in Vancouver, WA.

Over the next couple of years, many great events happened there, even title changes

and spectacular matches.  Not sure why exactly.  My thoughts would be that they were trying to

establish a home location outside of Oregon in case the wrestling commission shut down the ability to have wrestling entirely.  Or, they were considering selling the Sports Arena?

Oregonian Clipping - August 1, 1987 - Loser Loses Hair Winner Takes All - Money, Belt & Hair

No doubt BOILING hot in the Portland Sports Arena on August 1, 1987.

But totally worth it to see these exciting bouts!

Art Crews lost his hair, and the newly minted Southern Rockers (2 weeks old),

did not win the titles.

Portland Wrestling Complete Show 9/7/1985 You Tube Video + Program

This is probably the second or third time I'd gotten to go to the Sports Arena. The S&S Express were my favorite team! Steve Simpson was my favorite wrestler. The first night we went to the Sports Arena, we waited in the parking lot after the matches to get autographs. Steve and Ricky Vaughn were riding together, and after we got their autographs, we went running back to my mom's car. I slipped and fell. Steve Simpson jumped out of the car, ran over to check on me, scooped me up (I was 9), and carried me to the car. After that, he was my favorite!
