When Steve Simpson left Portland, he arrived in World Class Championship Wrestling

in Dallas, TX.  The territory was full of Von Erich brothers, and it probably wasn't easy to

get over with the fans, but he did it!

One of the tapes he found was a compilation that I made back in the tape 

trading days of the late 90s.  It is almost 3 hours of Steve Doll clips.

There is the infamous workout music video, a World Class match, and 

lots of Portland matches and interviews.  They aren't necessarily in order.

Lance Von Erich - aka Ricky Vaughn Promo Photo

Ricky Vaughn wrestled in Portland for a brief period in 1985.

He later joined World Class Championship Wrestling and became a Von Erich 'cousin". 

Ricky and Steve Simpson were roommates in an apartment right behind

the old Organ Grinder and Bob's Big Boy on 82nd.  We saw them one evening 

while going for some pizza!
