This event was held January 21, 1986 at the Portland Memorial Coliseum.

I didn't attend, but they did sell the programs and T-Shirts at the Sports Arena merch 

table until they sold out sometime in 1987.

Ric Flair On His Way To The Ring At The Portland Sports Arena Late 80s-Early 90s

Ric Flair made a few memorable trips to the Portland Sports Arena, usually on a weeknight.

Don Coss would announce an upcoming Tuesday Night Extravaganza, and 

announce some special guests.  Otherwise, the wrestlers were out wrestling around the Northwest

every other night of the week.  Thursday in Salem, Friday in Eugene, and Saturday night right back 

at the Sports Arena.  The other nights were filled with events in High School Gyms, Elks Lodges, and armories from Souther Oregon to Idaho, and even Canada on occasion.  It was rare to have 

any night off.  I really only remember hearing Don Coss say, "The men have off" a handful of times.

Newspaper Clipping - January 12, 1989 Super Extravaganza w/WCW Stars

A couple of months ago I posted the program from this card and I just happened to come across the newspaper ad as well.  Unfortunately, I don't have any photos from that night.  Maybe they didn't come out.  That happened in those days!  I was more of a WWF(versus WCW) fan in those days, but it was still cool seeing these guys in person. My mom didn't make me go to school the next day because we got home so late.  She was always so cool about stuff like that.  I missed A LOT of school without her knowing, but I got good grades, so she probably would have been fine with it.

Billy Jack Haynes Returns to Seattle Arena 1986 ~ Clipping

1986 seems about right for this event or Extravaganza!  That was always the Owens word for a big event. 

Brady Boone has a similar look to Billy Jack, with the dark hair and beard.  He was a smaller guy, but also had a similar build and so they claimed he was Billy Jack's cousin.  As I recall he wasn't here for very long, and I am not sure about his career trajectory after the Northwest.

This sounds like it was a great show.  Greatest?  I really don't know, I wasn't there! 

This event is a little before my time, but it looks like a great event.  This is one of many Northwest Wrestling clippings that were sent to me by a friend in the 90's.  I hope to be posting lots of them in the coming weeks.  I'm not sure if the dates written on them are correct.  Let me know if they aren't.
