Ric Flair made a few memorable trips to the Portland Sports Arena, usually on a weeknight.
Don Coss would announce an upcoming Tuesday Night Extravaganza, and
announce some special guests. Otherwise, the wrestlers were out wrestling around the Northwest
every other night of the week. Thursday in Salem, Friday in Eugene, and Saturday night right back
at the Sports Arena. The other nights were filled with events in High School Gyms, Elks Lodges, and armories from Souther Oregon to Idaho, and even Canada on occasion. It was rare to have
any night off. I really only remember hearing Don Coss say, "The men have off" a handful of times.
