On a warm Sunday in September 1989, there was a party at Sandy Barr's Flea Market! The 20th anniversary. For a few weeks, it was promoted that they were having a party and an autograph session with free cake! We never saw the cake, but we did see Steve Doll, Rex King, who was a newly minted Southern Rocker, Carl Stiles, and Betelgeuse. We even heard that Grappler and Buddy Rose were there too, but we never went to find their autograph table. I can't think of another time when the "Bad Guys" were involved in an autograph session. The "Good Guys" were set up at a table just to the left of the main entrance and around the corner. Several hundred people attended. I mean, free cake!
