I was thinking about Steve Doll tonight and found this image on Flickr.  I can't believe it is almost 4 years.

A fun page with screen shots from a match between Black Bart and Steve Doll in WCCW in 1986.

Portland Wrestling Uncut - On The Road!

My sister and I went to the show at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge last week.  What a fun night!  Roddy Piper made an appearance, as well as Divari, Colt Tombs, Matt Borne, Grappler, Thunder and lots more.  I even recognized a few faces in the crowd from old Portland Sports Arena days.

I have to admit that I haven't been watching the show on TV.  I am almost never home on Saturday evening and my DVR has no idea when wreslting is actually on.  It always records at some other time or some random show.

While watching TV, I saw a commercial for the show, and since we missed the first one we had to go to this one!

At the end of the night they passed out a flyer with upcoming dates.  Most shows have a 7pm bell time.

Did you know Scott Norton was in the movie "Over The Top" with Sylvester Stallone? Scott Norton is still wrestling occasionally, in the independent circuit.

Portland Wrestling Uncut on Fox 12

The show started last night, but I missed the beginning.  My DVR didn't know when to record, so it didn't get it all.  If you missed it, visit the website for more info.  The show was fun, and I liked the backstage shots and flashbacks.  It was great to see old Sports Arena footage. Wrestlers included were Wade Hess, Big Ugly, Thunder, Gentleman George Michael, Colt Tombs (Roddy Piper's son), The Grappler, and a few more.  Shawn Divari showed up near the end to throw his name into the mix, and Mean Mike Miller was on the commentating table with Don Coss for one match.

They announced a show at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge on December 4.  Sounds like fun!  Tickets are $10 general and $15 ringside.
